AOS: Traceability is a set of solutions used to record the manufacturing process of a single product or a specific batch together with a marking and labeling system.

Traceability systems are most often implemented as a result of the requirements imposed on production plants by their customers in order to guarantee the quality and possibility of reference to a specific batch of products, e.g.: if it is necessary to withdraw it from the market.

In our traceability approach, we always create a solution that uses batch tracking and production registration to monitor production efficiency, utilization of production buffers, determination of actual course of operations and their duration. For this reason AOS: Traceability is linked to the previous or parallel AOS implementation: Quality and AOS: Production Performance. In such an approach, the implementation of the traceability system not only serves to meet the customer’s requirements but, above all, directly improves the production efficiency.

Key assumptions

  • Introduction of an automated or standardized discrete system for tracking raw materials, semi-finished products and finished products in production using bar code or RFID tags.
  • Identification of products on the basis of the marking of logistic transporters: pallets, bulk containers, transport pallets.
  • In the case of technological processes that prevent permanent marking of the product or transporter with a label or RFID tag – recording of the process progress on the basis of the order of the entry / exit (FIFO).
  • Alternative, dedicated solutions enabling product path tracking in a demanding process
  • Automated retrieval of traceability data: raw material and process data, linked to AOS: Quality
  • Verification of the correctness of the process and acceptance for further operations on the basis of accumulated traceability data: product rejection, return to a new operation, redirection to a repair operation or additional quality control.
  • Serialization and accumulation – a system for assigning unique product, batch or series numbers
  • Printout and label applications, application correctness and readability checks
  • Integration with ERP systems,
